Kim Karetsky is a Senior Consultant at The Leader’s Edge and has over 15 years of experience designing and implementing leadership and professional development initiatives at Goldman, Sachs & Co. and JPMorgan Chase. She has dedicated her career to enhancing the culture of these organizations by building robust programs to promote the commercial and leadership growth of top performing producers and senior leaders globally.

Kim joined JPMorgan in 2008 to build and lead the global Advisor Development Group within the Asset Management Division. Her work focused on enhancing the client, communication and sales skills of Private Bankers, Investments and Product Specialists and the leadership and management skills of senior leaders. As an Executive Director, she has designed and implemented short and long-term classroom programs and mobile learning tools on topics including interpersonal skills, sales, client communication skills, executive presence, leadership and sales management for all levels from Associate to Managing Director.

In addition, in Kim’s one-on-one coaching she works closely with leaders and their teams to establish strong, trusting relationships and to enhance team culture. She has experience in organization development and has created and facilitated strategic team off-sites to enable leaders to communicate their business priorities and vision and to enhance team building. She is certified in the Hogan and Interpersonal Leadership Styles Personality Assessments and has an extensive network of academic and subject matter experts with whom she has partnered.

Prior to joining JPMorgan, Kim worked in Goldman Sachs’ Pine Street Leadership Development Group where she created and led programs to enhance the leadership skills of Partners, Managing Directors, high-potential Vice Presidents and select clients of the firm. She was responsible for the Leadership Acceleration Initiative for emerging leaders and ran Pine Street Client Programs where she identified and coached experts to teach sessions internally. After graduating from Amherst College with a BA in Psychology, Kim started her career in 1999 at Goldman Sachs in the Private Wealth Management Division where she worked in both New York and San Francisco.

Kim received her MBA from Columbia Business School in 2006 with a concentration in Leadership and Management where she was the Chair of the Columbia Business School Integrity Board and a selected member of the Leadership Board of The Sanford C. Bernstein Center for Leadership and Ethics. In addition to her work in finance, Kim has a passion for medicine and medical ethics and earned her Master in Bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania in 2007 after spending a year doing academic research in Neuroethics at the Stanford Center for Biomedical Ethics.

Kim is the President of the Alumnae Association and Trustee of the Chapin School in New York City where she lives with her husband, Simon Krinsky, and their daughter.
