Lisa Mathis is Vice President, Consulting Initiatives and has been an executive coach and corporate team facilitator for over 20 years bringing a depth of experience to The Leader’s Edge. In her role, Lisa provides support on both small and large-scale client projects and applies her consulting expertise in the areas of leadership, competency, organization development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Lisa’s collaboration with clients on their key initiatives provides tremendous value and an opportunity to tailor leadership development approaches to align with organizational goals.

As an executive coach, Lisa has worked with leaders in the corporate and private sector with specialties in communications, leadership, sales and organization development. She has considerable expertise in working with leaders at the high-potential level through to the C-Suite, as well as understanding different cultures of people and the unique challenges that they face. She prepares leaders for the next level by building new competencies, imparting advice on leading change, and enhancing an executive’s decision-making skills. In her coaching, Lisa works closely with each leader on their specific goals and provides her clients with a safe, trusted space to brainstorm and strategize challenging issues.

Lisa has worked with clients from a wide variety of organizations including, Con Edison, ESPN, HBO, BET, Capital One, MetLife, IBM, Prudential, Novartis, Bristol Myers Squibb, T. Rowe Price, Aflac, UGI, AmeriGas, AXA XL, Toyota Motor North America, Pfizer, Estee Lauder, Tiffany & Company, Publicis Groupe, Avon, TD Bank, Major League Baseball, KPMG, MasterCard International, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Time, Inc.

Lisa’s hands-on business and organizational leadership experience was shaped in the financial Industry with a concentration in leadership, competency, and organization development for Merrill Lynch. As an Assistant Vice President and Relationship Manager, she oversaw employee and executive development for Financial Data Systems, Merrill Lynch Insurance and the Merrill Lynch Wealth Management businesses that included 5,000 employees.

Lisa has served as a keynote speaker for Hobart and William Smith Colleges Leadership Institute and Con Edison’s Women in Engineering Programs. Her topics have ranged from Strategic Networking, Executive Presence, and Building a Personal Leadership Brand.

Lisa has a BA from the University of Arkansas’s Eckerd College Leadership Development Institute and is certified in the following instruments: Hogan Assessment Systems, Clark Wilson 360, Voices 360, Conflict Dynamics, and the Meyers Briggs.
